11. - 14. May 2023

CLINCH is a festival that focuses on the perspectives of BIPoC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour), migrants and Jews. CLINCH addresses individual and collective struggles against oppressive and discriminating structures in our societies, debates on history(s) as well as theories and visions for the future via discussions, artistic and interactive formats.

The CLINCH Festival is also about points of friction in our political standpoints, and about searching and finding connections and strategies to overcome them: How can we show solidarity with each other when we have different positions and what does this solidarity look like? How can we empower ourselves and each other? How can we respond to conflicts within our communities? And what does community even mean?

The fourth edition of the CLINCH Festival will take place in Hanover from May 11th to 14th, 2023: four days of festival with workshops, performances, discussions, readings, concerts, experimental formats, space for empowerment, networking and coming together.

CLINCH is intersectional.
CLINCH is radical.
CLINCH is empowering.
